I am a work at home mom with a 2 year old son, husband and two dogs. When I'm not busy chasing after the above mentioned family members, I teach piano and Kindermusic. With little time for business support and networking, I've started this blog to connect with other moms balancing work and motherhood.
I find that if I get a few things done while my son (he's 2) eats meals it really helps to minimize the things I have to do during his nap. I also have him 'help' with household chores. Putting clothes in the washer or dryer, helping to vacuum or mop so that when I have time to get work done without him it works I can focus on work and not on chores.
Prioritize. Find times when you are able to work on your business and schedule that time as "work" time. Put aside so much time a day that you are going to work. I find that this way, I'm not focusing on work and my family all day long. It isn't perfect though, as sometimes, getting things done just doesn't happen:)
